Cleber represented ABN AMRO Bank as successor to Fortis Bank in proceedings before the Amsterdam District Court and the Court of Appeal a landmark case in which the Dutch Supreme Court (Hoge Raad) ruled that the regime of disclosure of documents and information under article 843a of the Dutch Code of Civil Procedure extends to the use in a foreign proceeding and that a nexus with proceedings in the Netherlands is not required.
